Ghorepani Poonhill trek is the shortest trekking in Annapurna region, is also known as Ghorepani trek. Poonhill is the best sunrise view point to have a massive view of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and Fishtail. Early in the morning, you hike up to Poonhill to enjoy the incredible view, path follows through giant primary rhododendron dens forest, troops of monkeys and exotic birds set a vibrant and colorful scene.
A place called Ghandruk (1940m) is one of the largest Gurung villages with its traditional buildings and picture-perfect setting below Machapuchare (6,993m). This village is known as origin place for Gurung ethnic. The trail descends from ghandruk to the road head for the journey back to Pokhara.
